This thursday, Brenton will be giving an introduction to Assembly Language programming. If you want to learn anything about assembly coding, don't miss out on this event!
Notes from the Speaker:
Aimed for people with a basic programming background. The presentation will focus around developing for the ti-83 calculator using the z80 assembly language. This will provide a simple explanation to 8-bit programming. However, as the z80 is based on the intel 8008, a predicessor to the modern x86 chipset, many of the concepts discussed will be applicable to programming on modern Intel processors. The talk will cover topics such as registers, endianness, addressing, how to write a basic program, and setting up a development environment.
Talk begins at 6:30 pm, and will be down in CTI, room 610!!
